First-Time Failure

What Do I Do Next?

You have 30 calendar days from the date of the initial test to have your vehicle's emissions problems fixed and pass a re-test. (Read more about your repair options.)

After repairs are made, make sure the repair technician completes and signs the Emissions Repair Data form that was given to you at the Official Emissions Test Center. Keep your receipt(s). Then, take your vehicle and the Emissions Repair Data form to an Official Emissions Test Center for a re-test.

If you return within 30 calendar days to the test center that originally tested your vehicle, the re-test (test number 2) is free!
